The houses at Kransfontein comprise of Fynbos, Muffets, Milkwood, Uitsig and the Boat House.
All of them enjoy a stunning view of the stud farm Riethuiskraal, just opposite the Goukou river.
On the stud farm you can stay at the “Writer’s Cottage”, once used by Wilbur Smith as a study whilst writing some of his novels.

The Boathouse is a cabin on the river bank, with a private jetty and access to the nearby foraging path, pecan nut grove, and picnic valley. This cottage comprises 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
Free-standing cottage with a large lawn. Surrounded by Fynbos and nearby access to the walking trail and the rock pool with its waterfall and braai area.
The secluded cottage is at the top of a large olive orchid and has nearby access to the scenic Broad path which connects the restaurant to the greater areas of the estate.

Uitsig is named for its view. It is located above the farm road and is a smaller family unit with a panoramic view of Kransfontein Estate and Riethuiskraal stud farm.
The Writer’s cottage is situated on the stud farm side of the Goukou river. It is isolated and peaceful, nestled in the middle of an olive grove of young trees. The cottage is surrounded by horses from the stud farm and has direct access to the river bank
